As the technician, I am going to be a bit of a jack of all trades in the group. From organising our labs and other infrastructure to helping out the team with fieldwork and coding.

My personal passion is the conservation of our aquatic ecosystems and all things to do with GIS. During my studies I focused on the modelling of ecological niche of the Eurasian otter in Alsace and Tanganyikan cichlids, with the latter expanding to study their community structure as well.

Since leaving Academia I worked as a GIS specialist for Basel and Zürich maintaining their GIS databases, integrating new data into their online map services and developing new tools e.g. invasive neophyte app (not public). Further I worked as an ecologist in a small eco-consultancy where I participated in various conservation projects (ecological infrastructure, control of river revitalisation).
